This Unit elucidates the proper uses of the past tense. There are basically four variations: (1) past simple; (2) past continuous; (3) past perfect; (4) past perfect continuous. Once the student understands why, when and how to use those aforementioned four categories of the past, then it's a matter of practicing; and, soon thereafter the student should have very little difficulty conjugating verbs into the past tense correctly.
