Brief overview of Unit 10
The unit covers two video lessons taught twice by a teacher.The first video lesson is not being taught properly, where the teacher is deliberately making many basic teaching errors, mainly in attitude ,poor lesson planning and not being able to effectively teach the students anything as a result.The second video lesson is a good demonstration of how to engage and teach a lesson properly.
What i have learnt
The unit has taught me basic fundamental errors that a teacher can make, which leads to confusion and uncertainty in the classroom.I have learnt how important it is to have a good lesson plan before even attempting to teach a lesson.I have learnt how important it is to be polite, professional, caring and generally have a good sound knowledge of the content of the lesson before presenting it.This would allow for the lesson to be taught more effectively, hence learners being taught properly and understanding the content of the lesson.
