This unit provides an overview of the four past tenses in English: past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. It gives concise explanations and examples of each of their forms and uses. The unit also provides a heads up about common student errors and gives some ideas for class activities based on the past tense. I found the charts showing the formation of each of the tenses in the affirmative, negative, and as questions to be particularly useful for future classroom use.
