This chapter provided a great overview of course materials and authentic materials and explained the benefits and challenges that come with use of course materials. One very useful part of this chapter was the examples of role play cards. The instructions were clear and the scenarios were real-life scenarios students might one day find themselves in. They could easily be adapted for many different levels of English language learners.
