Dividing the skills to be learned in to 2 receptive skills and 2 productive skills is going to help me organize my classes better and focus on teaching one skill at a time -or at least to avoid mixing up the skills senselessly. The receptive subskills list was new information to me, and I found it very interesting. I was encouraged to see that I have already been carefully selecting texts, pre-teaching grammar and vocabulary that the students may not be familiar with, and have been working on generating interest by making the topics we study relatable to the students so that they personally feel invested and excited about the study work. (They’re young children, so I need to avoid tedious lessons.)
On page 9, I felt that Exercise A, question 2 is a bit inappropriate.
