In this final unit there were a number of troubleshooting issues covered. I found the section helpful that dealt with first lessons. I was reminded that building rapport is important and that should begin from lesson one. I learned to not use the text book the first lesson, but rather use warmers and engaging activities. I also realized that students not using their native language can be challenging. Keeping activities at an appropriate level and clear are good ways to prevent students from being tempted to use their native language with one another.
