This unit contains information about may different types of learning and teaching techniques. However, the one that appears bet suited for language learning is one that is a combination of many different types of teaching techniques. The methodology is called ESA. Every methodology has different pros and cons and which one is best suited depends on the goals of the learner. Some methodologies are aimed more at teaching reading while others focus more on speaking. However, a mix between these two is probably best due because that is the most realistic of our interactions with language on a daily basis. It also allows us to communicate in different ways.
