There are four important things to consider when teaching a new language, namely; exposing the students to the language, helping them understand its meaning, understanding the construction of the language and then being able to practise using and producing it. None of the above occurs in isolation and it is important to walk the students through learning the language, understanding the construction and rules of the language and then practising using what they learnt in context.
