This study unit was about past tenses. The unit was helpful and insightful as it taught me the different forms of the past tense and that there are four different forms. These forms being past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. It set out the different forms, usage and the common errors students make in regards to each form. This unit was very similar to unit 4 and therefore it was easier to grasp the information regarding the past tense having already learnt about the present tense in unit 4. I have learnt a lot in regards to the past tense and what areas to spend more time on in this respect when teaching it to students as some parts are trickier than others especially certain words that do not fall into the general rule when changing the word from present tense to past tense. I have also learnt different ways to teach the students about the past tenses that would be fun for them and keep them interested.
