This unit helped me get inside the mind of a student somewhat. Differentiating between vocabulary, grammar, and function would not have occurred to me before. This is a useful way to break up the English language and hopefully makes it more accessible to new learners. Gearing the lessons depending on skill level was obvious, but dividing the language like this is something I wouldn't have thought of. As always, the ideas for actual exercises in class will be helpful for planning a lesson.
