Watching the video lessons was so helpful in visualizing some of the concepts from previous lessons. The importance of the teacher’s attitude on the participation of the students was so apparent. The negativity of the teacher from the first lesson was toxic and created an environment that I would have been hesitant and intimidated to participate in. I learned that as a teacher you should do everything necessary to minimize confusion. I think being organized and prepared coming into the lesson will eliminate much confusion. Talking slowly and clearly will minimize confusion. And if students seem confused you should not just keep talking and explaining, rather stop, slow down and take a step back.
