In this lesson we uncovered the wonderfully wacky world of tenses. During my study of tenses I have discovered that it is very easy to figure out when a sentence is wrong, but being able to deduce and explain to a student why it is wrong is another story. Using terms like present continuous, present simple, present perfect continuous, etc does not seem effective to me. I am an English speaking human and at first the presentation of these forms was Greek to me, but after some nail biting and a couple of cigarette breaks I immersed myself in the wonderfully wacky world of tenses.
