This unit was about teaching receptive skills. I learnt about the four basic skills in any language and that they are equally important. Therefore, we must take this into consideration when planning a lesson to ensure it is well balanced. I also learnt things to do to make it easier for the students to fully understand when they are do an exercise regarding listening and reading for e.g. pre-teaching vocabulary that may be difficult for the students to understand before the activity starts. I also learnt helpful ways of setting out lesson plans when teaching receptive skills.
