Two video lessons were used in Unit 10. The first video showed many examples of what we learned not to do when teaching a lesson. The teacher did things like spoke unclearly to where he was not understood, and did not explain some of his directions very well. The students in the first video looked confused and were not participating when the teacher asked questions. In the second video, the teacher taught in more effective ways than the first video. He spoke clearly and loudly, and was more enthusiastic. He built a good rapport, called on the students by name to participate, and the students were more engaged and willing to participate than in the first video.
