This unit taught me that there are many tools available at the teachers disposal to make a lesson more fun and interesting for the students. Each teaching aid has its advantages and disadvantages for use during a lesson and some teaching aids are better suited for particular teaching objectives. For example, worksheets can be used for reading and grammar exercises while visual aids are used to give meaning to something more effectively than verbal explanations. Each teaching aid needs to be studied on its use and how best to use it during lessons.
