Teaching New Language focused on teaching vocabulary, language function and structure and reviewed methods and activities – like using the ESA Engage/Study/Activate model, Boomerang and Patchwork models to hold vocabulary, function and structure, and using pictures or real objects, fill in the blank, and role play to cover these. For me, it makes sense to frame a lesson with these elements clearly in mind to make sure students are having a well-rounded experience with becoming engaged, paper/pencil/computer visual experience, and then productive pronunciation.
