The unit discussed why we should lesson plan, what should be included in the lesson plan, how it should be used during the lesson, and gave examples of lesson plans. Even though there are varying opinions on the usefulness of a lesson plan, I agree that it can be a very useful tool, especially for inexperienced teachers like myself. I think the most useful function of a lesson plan is how it aids in planning. If I were to walk into a class without preparing, there is no way I would be able to carry out a lesson and reach a goal that I have to devise as I'm teaching. I also think it is useful to include a learning objective for myself. This should help me evaluate my work regularly and always be thinking of ways in which I can improve.
