This Unit has provided me with a good understanding Dos and Donts in classroom management. I have learnt how techniques such as eye contact, appropriate gesture and the voice can help in managing your class, as well as the classroom arrangement and the different groupings of students in the class and the pros and cons of each of these approaches to managing your class. In addition, I have learnt the importance of how to strike a balance between the teacher talking time and the student talking time - specifically how to avoid the tendency of teacher dominating the class through a high degree of TTT. It was also very relevant and useful to learn about how to maintain discipline by understanding reasons for problem behaviour, how to prevent them and how as a teacher you might want to respond to the effectively.
