Unit 8 examines the future tenses of verbs. In my opinion, the future tense is the most complex due to the seven different forms and the incorporation of two present tense forms that can act as future tenses. The seven different forms are future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, be going plus infinitive, present simple, and present continuous. For each form, it is imperative to pay attention to the auxiliary verbs in front of the main verbs, as they provide insight into which form it is. Within the unit, it discussed typical student mistakes and teaching ideas for each form. Considering the complexity of the future tense, teachers should implement engaging lessons to aid in student retention.
