In this unit, I learnt that reading and listening plays an important part to the students. You need to do a lot of practice on it in order to master the skills. In order to master this skill, I believe that one needs to know a wide range of vocabulary before reading the text and know its meaning. It is indeed true that we need to know what interest the students in order to capture their attention. When we are able to capture their interest, that's when they learn best.
