Again, these tenses are really tricky so it is really important to take this slow. As for the irregular verbs, spending time doing flash cards/ memory games is going to me key to get students to get comfortable using them. I found this lesson like the other difficult even for a native speaker because these are things I don't really think about anymore. Cutting back frustration by focusing in on explaining these is going to help with sentence structure accuracy later on.
