This unit was a good overview of my past teaching experience in more concise words. I used to teach high school and the one thing that I made sure to do was have the kids talk more and good eye contact. Also I learned early on unconsciously that asking "do you understand" was not useful, and that asking one classmate explain the instructions to another classmate was much more useful. It is interesting to think about "talk time."
