In this Unit I learned about the four aspects of the past tenses. Categorizing sentences into the four groups is a very similar process as with the present tenses, except that it relates to the past tense. I found it trickiest to distinguish between past continuous and past perfect continuous. The main difference is that past continuous merely shows continuity, while past perfect continuous puts an emphasis on the idea of duration.
