In this unit I have learned that when selecting vocabulary appropriacy to students and task, frequency and coverage, and teachablitly should all be taken into account. A student needs to know meaning, use, word grammar, interaction, spelling and pronunciation about a vocabulary item. With grammatical structures a student needs to know meaning, use, forms and patterns, as well as any differences in spoken and written forms.
