This unit cover the various types of future tense and their usage. I found the subtle difference bewteen when & how we use be going + infinitive and future simple tense to be quite interesting (i.e intentions vs promises, plans vs spontaneous decisions and evidence based predictions vs speculation). It is certainly easy to see why it is easy for ESL learners to mix up these two grammar points. Therefore when teaching future tense, providing clear clarification on the difference between be going + infinitive and future simple would be particularly important.
