The 7th unit of the course covers methods regarding how one may teach vocabulary, grammar, and language functions. The text briefly covers the basics of what students require to learn the language in a classroom setting. Beginning with vocabulary, the unit covers the selection of words and what a student must know from the vocabulary. The text does the same with both grammatical structures and language functions. All three sections contain an example lesson layout using the straight arrow, patchwork, and boomerang ESA techniques.
