The Unit enabled me to see and assess the effectiveness of two ESA video lessons. I was able to see the critical main differences between lesson one and lesson two in many specific areas, such as the teacher's attitude to the students and vice-versa, and of course the level of students' participation and the appropriateness of the teacher's instructions and explanations. The first video lesson was so revealing in terms of weaknesses, while it was a great model less in the case of the second video lesson. For example, I have learnt very important how a teacher's non-engaging attitude to the class and patronising teaching style could discourage and intimate the students' in the learning process, and how this would compromise the overall effectiveness of a lesson. Definitely a point (among many others) to keep in mind.
