Due to classes that I chose to take in university, this unit was mostly review for me. However, being able to use this in actionable steps in the classroom to teach students was very helpful. The charts and the clear structure of sentence types was a good format for trying to learn and memorize these grammar rules. The most helpful thing in this lesson for me was the examples of sentences that students and learners of English will make minor albeit noticeable mistakes. This will allow me as an ESL teacher to specifically know what to look for and except and try to combat this ahead of time before the students even make the mistakes.
