This unit has helped me have a better understanding for all of the different types of testing that is offered and how it is used. These different types of tests can help monitor your students and their level as well as progress once the course has started. I now know the importance of progress tests and how they can help me as a teacher, as well as the students. As a teacher I can understand how placement/diagnostic tests help start the course and how progress tests maintain the course, students and teacher to keep everyone on the right track to be successful and make sure we are focusing on the right things. I have also gained more knowledge in the different types of external testing and placement tests that has been very helpful.
