The reporting section was difficult. However, I have noticed that this class is geared for a British form of English and that some of the answers would have been correct in American English. The conditionals were straight forward even though I had never thought about it before. Back to reporting sentences, I did not have a clue as to what that meant when i first read it. However, the concept does make a lot of sense and is necessary to communication because not everything can be set in advance because of unknown variables.
