This unit was challenging, and I have to admit, I don't know if I agree that another alphabet should exist to describe one. Regardless, it certainly is interesting to see how the phonetic alphabet lends itself to pronunciation. The more useful part of this unit was having some things brought to light that I wouldn't have thought of as a native speaker. For example, how we combine words and sounds.
