I've learned the various intricacies of vocabulary and grammatical teaching and the form and structure that would be useful in relaying this to my students. Developing lesson plans based on the straight arrow, boomerang, and patchwork models and understanding the appropriateness for instructing the different levels of beginner, intermediate or advanced students is critical to our combined success. Putting the necessary work into developing effective and engaging lesson plans will be very important. I'm looking forward to getting in front of students this week as a volunteer at the Immigrant Centre in Winnipeg teaching intermediate students as a part of my practicum I've set up independently.
