This unit covers receptive skills which are reading and listening. When learning a new language both of these skills are important and it is good to understand the differences and challenges of each one. Reading and listening are vastly different and English learners will need to be confident in both. Speaking skills are particularly challenging because you hear the information and it is gone, unlike reading in which you can refer back to the previous words.
