I found the information pertaining to the development of language teaching very interesting. It is also fascinating to find out that although grammar translations has proven ineffective as a means of a complete teaching method it is still a popular method used internationally. I liked the format in which the information was presented, the way in which various teaching methods were highlighted, showing the pros and cons of each and further giving examples and games to provide further understanding. This is the most enjoyable part of the course to me so far. I was able to envision what it would be like in a classroom and think of different things that would best facilitate my future students.
