In this unit, I learned more in depth the usefulness of various examinations and their application in the real world. Tests are a great way to gauge the students language level, however, I agree that in person interaction can give you more insight of how much the student is actually progressing with the language. I realized that the main reason for people taking the external examinations are for either business purposes or schooling purposes, and that there are tests that are designed specifically for one or the other.
