In this unit I learned the differences between the past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous tenses. Before doing this unit I reviewed the video for the present tenses and this helped with my understanding as there are similarities. One very helpful tip I learned in the video was to pay attention to the sentence structure and not so much to the sentence content when trying to decipher which tense is being used. I am hoping that this will help me to better grasp these concepts.
