This unit provided great insight on the different types of materials that can be used in addition to the traditional course book. I think the course book should mainly be used to stay on track with the lessons the students will be exposed to in the course and to provide more in-depth explanation of certain topics and grammar points. Other than that, I believe the teacher should be as creative as possible in order to not only engage the students more, but develop their adaptability to the lessons. Doing this will prepare the teacher in the long-run to deal with issues more efficiently and not have to rely on the course book.
