The unit has allowed me to challenge myself in understanding the way in which words are sounded out as the activity to transcribe the text was fun yet challenging to do. This unit has been described as the least amount of work put in by students as the phonetic alphabet is viewed as an immediate challenge by students. This presents an exciting challenge for me to then bring this unit in as many lessons in the classroom as this will significantly improve the students ability to improve their pronounciation of words as well as spelling accurately.
