This unit focuses on several classroom management techniques which include; gesture, eye contact, voice, classroom arrangement, board writing, individual attention, student-teacher talk-time, instruction, student-teacher rapport and discipline, which when put to good use, can result in a relaxed, friendly and disciplined learning environment. I learned from this unit that for a classroom to be effective, the teacher must inspire confidence in the students, be flexible where necessary. Furthermore, a good teacher must not be an extrovert to be considered good but one that motivates and brings the best out of the students.
