This unit focused primarily on the effectiveness of the teacher and their interactions with students of all levels. It also gave a synopsis of the official leveling of English language learners. The unit covered motivations of various age levels for learning a new language, and reasons why teachers may or may not experience success with different mastery levels. Aspects of culture having an effect on learning and the students' perception of the teacher's effectiveness were also discussed.
