This unit encompass Pronunciation and Phonology. Both of the two things listed above are an integral part in the teaching of the English language. I learned that intonation and stress are very important when speaking English. Stress can be use in any word. There is stress that can be on the first, last, penultimate and ante-penultimate syllable. In addition, I learned about the manner of articulation and the major six sound we make when we speak, they are Plosive, Fricative, Nasal, Lateral, Affricate and Approximant. It was very interesting to learn how using or nasal cavity, teeth, tongue and other parts of our mouth we are able to make voice or unvoiced sounds.
