As a total newcomer to the course and the world of teaching, this unit has primarily helped me to understand the motivations of various students to learn English. I think that this is very significant as an understanding of the people in your classroom will help teachers to be able to tailor their lessons to their pupils. Which may keep students motivated in their desire to learn. Furthermore the ability to highlight what it is that makes good students and good teachers is something that will help a teacher to give useful feedback to the student, and himself or other teachers when improvements are needed.
