This lesson was important because receptive skills which consist of reading and listening are 2 of the basic skills needed when learning a language. As an English teacher, it is important for me to understand how to teach students so that they can further grasp these skills of reading and listening in English. This lesson helped me come up with ideas on lesson plans that will help my students use receptive skills and develop these skills so that they can improve reading and listening in English.
