This grammar unit focuses on recognizing and classifying the parts of speech. As teachers, we should have a basic understanding of English grammar to be able to teach our students with confidence the language and sentence structure. The unit covers: countable nouns, uncountable nouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, verbs, pronouns and much more. It also analyzes each part of speech in a sentence and states the differences between adjectives and adverbs. It also gives examples sentences of how to explain to a student the parts of speech and briefly explains the use articles in a sentence.
