This unit was very short but really useful since I gained general knowledge. It presented a topic explaining why and how teachers should perform evaluations periodically. Furthermore, I have learned about various types of tests performed with different specific ending goals. Such is the case of placement and diagnostic tests which are done to measure student’s levels of knowledge in the language. The progressive tests define what language items need to be reinforced in class and are important as well. As a final point, there were three different practice tests presented: The General External Examination, The Cambridge Assessment and The Trinity College of London Test.
