In Unit 2 I learned about the various parts of speech (articles, pronouns, nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, gerunds, prepositions, conjunctions, etc), their definitions and examples of them, and how to identify and classify them. Some examples include breaking nouns down in countable/uncountable, personal vs. possessive pronouns, comparative vs. superlative adjectives, definite vs. indefinite articles, transitive vs. intransitive verbs, and the different verb forms (past simple, past participle, present participle). I also learned more about where in a sentence structure to place an adjective or adverb and the order in which to do so. This unit was very helpful in understanding more about each part of speech, and in learning to identify them within a sentence, as well as sorting through irregular examples of the grammar rules.
