As in the previous unit that introduced us with tenses (unit 4), this unit was very similar but deals exclusively with the various forms of the past tense. There are 4 forms of the past tense, which are namely; past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. Each of these having specific usages for a specific scenarios. These tenses enable us to be more specific in detailing those time points at which various actions or events had been completed or taken place.
