There certainly are many differences in teaching adults in the business environment versus teaching young children. Even if businesses pay more, I don't think I would like the format of the way lessons are expected to occur in that environment. I much prefer the more rewarding experience of teaching young children to teaching occasionally unmotivated adults on more technical topics. Their diverse needs sound like it would make planning lessons with overlap complicated and their occasional absenteeism would make consecutive lessons somewhat pointless. I guess I already had this in the back of my mind since I chose to continue after this course with the certificate for teaching young learners instead of the one for business English.
