This unit gave me a clear idea of the different methodologies discovered in the past and how it is related to the present methodology use in teaching the English language. Before I started reading this unit, I was always worried about if I was giving the lesson to the student the proper way it should be given. Was it enough? Was the activity go with the lesson and other many questions. But because of the different approaches and techniques taught in this unit, made me realized what am I lacking. I am already using some of the old methodologies but in fact, don't have a clear idea what is the advantage of using it until I have finished reading the page.
The ESA methodology which has all the methods I am already using answers all my questions. Now I know what particular lesson or activity should I give to my students, how to start and the lesson using the ESA. I will put into practice to ask more questions to let the students talk more, drills and interactive activities as necessary as possible to practice their speaking skills.
