This unit introduced that receptive skills comprise reading and listening. When we are reading or listening, it’s usually include two different reasons and motives, one for a purpose, the other one is for entertainment. I also learnt that, reading and listening are a matter of using our minds to literally understand words and process them in our pre-existent knowledge to gain true understanding. During my class, I can improve students’ reading and listening skills by playing music and telling stories, but not only limited to the textbooks.
